Catholic Relief Services

Shopping with CRS Fair Trade means you are supporting artisans, bringing lovely items into your world and strengthening the Fair Trade movement!

Work of Human Hands
Through the Work of Human Hands program, Catholic Relief Services and SERRV offer you the chance to buy high quality, fairly traded handcrafts and gourmet food items from disadvantaged producers all over the world. This program is a popular and easy way for you to act in solidarity with Fair Trade producers around the world. You can host a Work of Human Hands consignment sale as a community event or buy directly for yourself and your loved ones.

CRS Chocolate Program

CRS Fair Trade sells “Divine” chocolate. It is made with 100% Fair Trade cocoa beans grown by the farmers of the Kuapa Kokoo cooperative in Ghana. Fair Trade means that the farmers are guaranteed a fair price for their crop, no exploitative child labor is allowed, and women’s rights and democracy are supported. The 20,000 members of Kuapa Kokoo own part of Divine Chocolate Limited, the company that turns the farmer-grown cocoa into delicious Divine Chocolate bars. As owners, Kuapa's farmers get a share of the profits from all the candy bars you buy and sell. A Divine fundraiser not only supports your school or parish activity but also helps put African farmers in charge of their own futures.

With every purchase, SERRV makes a contribution to the CRS Fair Trade Fund, to promote market access and development.

Comments from around the World
“The artisans in our organization earn three times more than the minimum wage. This means that they have a better quality of life for themselves and their families.” - Manuel Alvarez - UPA, Mexico.
