Swaziland: Eswatini Swazi Kitchen

The Eswatini Swazi Kitchen (Eswatini means "made in Swaziland") provides employment for women and generates income for the Manzini Youth Care program in Swaziland, a tiny mountain kingdom between South Africa and Mozambique. Consumers who spread Eswatini Kitchen's guava or mango jam on their toast in the morning make an immediate connection with a network of several hundred Swazi men and women. Proceeds of sales of the jams, chutneys, marmalades, and gift baskets sold by the Eswatini Swazi Kitchen benefit the 20 women who work full-time in the kitchen, the Swazi farmers who grow the fruit, the 200 rural women who gather the Lutindzi grasses and weave them into baskets, and the 200 street children and HIV/AIDS orphans who receive housing, food, and education at several youth centers.
