Bethlehem Fair Trade Artisans (BFTA) is a nonprofit organization created by artisans in the local handcraft community.
Over the past few years, Bethlehem area artisans have faced more challenges: fewer tourists to buy their products, a lack of employment opportunities, and limited resources. Increased international competition has also exploited artisans and made it harder for them to receive fair prices.
Through BFTA, artisans are introduced to new markets and are supported with skills trainings and other development opportunities. We are proud to support artisans in the West Bank so they can maintain their beautiful craft traditions while simultaneously benefiting from fair trade principles.
Serrv began featuring products from Bethlehem Fair Trade Artisans in our Fall 2014 catalog.
