Created in the town of Chulucanas in northern Peru using techniques developed in pre-Inca times, these striking ceramic pieces in traditional black and white are thrown and smoothed entirely by hand. Black color is achieved in a resist process by smoking the pieces with mango leaves. Lightly hand waxed for semi-gloss finish. For decorative use only, not food safe. 6 1/4"h x 4 1/2"dia
