All of these designs for bread warmers are lovely. I've given these many times as gifts and they are always appreciated. I use mine to keep lots of things warm at the table: bread, rolls, tortillas, baked potatoes, hard-boiled eggs, flat-bottomed serving dishes... Great idea!

The basket appears to be good quality and arrived in a reasonable time. My only problem is that they send too many emails. There have been days that I have gotten more than just one email trying to get me to buy something else.

I ordered two types and this one came with such a strong odor, I'm wondering if it is food safe? I washed it with vinegar and water and have aired it for a week. The odor is still so strong. Not sure if I'll use it. It is very pretty.

I am giving this as a gift and am very pleased with the quality of the basket and vine decorated warmer. I have had one for years by another company and use constantly to keep my rolls or any bread warm, especially when serving several people. I wish this one allowed you to heat the ceramic warmer in my microwave as I can do with my older one, but I called and Serrv said NOT to put this one in the microwave. However, the oven heats it fine and I will look forward to giving this one as a lovely and useful gift!

My mom-in-law asked for a breadbasket with a warmer for Christmas. I had never heard of SERRV before doing an online search, but I'm so glad I found them! The basket is beautifully made, and the vine pattern is a perfect match for my mother-in-law's Italian-themed kitchen. She's going to love it, and I love that I was able to support fair trade. I stumbled on these bread baskets with the warmer stone and knew they would be a perfect gift for my sister. She does a lot of entertaining so I bought two. The baskets are sturdy and beautifully woven. The warming stones have a beautiful floral motif and fit perfectly in the baskets. These baskets are top quality with precise craftsmanship. I already owned one of these when a family member saw it in use and loved it. Now it's her birthday present! It keeps bread, muffins, popovers, biscuits, whatever, warm for a long time. When I'm not using mine for serving, I store the stone and use the basket for vitamin container storage on my counter.

We had been looking for a new bread basket after we chucked our worn out one prior to a move six months ago. Would you believe they are hard to find?! And so when I saw this one on the Serrv International website, I jumped at it. Turns out to be better than our last with its well crafted basketry and clay insert that pops in the oven and back in the basket to keep the bread warm throughout the meal. It's roomy and comes at a great price. What's not to love?

I bought this bread warmer as a gift for my sister in Pennsylvania since she does her own bread baking. She told me she is so pleased with it and it will get used often. I opened the package before sending it to her to insure the insert was as advertised and not broken. The workmanship is beautiful. I would recommend this item as a gift.

So, my stepdaughter just gifted me the stone. When I make my bread, it bakes at 450 degrees. Would it harm the stone to heat it up at 450 or should it be no higher than 350? Thanks!
Owner Response: The stone should be fine at 450 as it is fired at much higher temps when it is made. We recommend you heat the stone up in the oven so that the temperature doesn't change too rapidly for the stone to adjust.

Beautiful high-quality basket and warming stone. Be careful to note size before ordering. Suitable for a small gathering, as it will hold about six rolls. Included directions are to warm the stone in a heated oven, so unsure if warming in the microwave may harmful to the stone. I have waited a long time to have one of these so I am not going to chance harming the stone.

The basket is made of high quality materials, handmade and sold at a great value for the money. It's one of my favorite purchases this year because it makes me feel so good to support fair trade commerce between the U.S. and underdeveloped regions. The serrv catalogue is outstanding and beautiful. I plan to purchase from it again and again to support fair trade commerce that benefits Catholic programs and so forth.
On a tight budget it can be hard rationalizing donations but when there is a exchange for a real good it's easy to rationalize this. I just wish I had received the catalogue prior to black Friday instead of after, as I would have purchased more from serrv.

I ordered one of these for Christmas for a friend. It's great with olive oil, vinegar, etc. This one is going to be part of an auction for the AFSP. I would LOVE it if the instructions could be sent to me somehow. I can't remember the right temps and timing...
Owner Response: We'll email you but heat the stone in the oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Carefully place the warm stone into the basket. Wrap your bread in a clean towel to keep warm and place it on top of the stone.
