Women weavers in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana are earning a sustainable income as they craft these distinctive elephant grass baskets using traditional techniques, patterns, and colors. Great for taking to the grocery store, farmer's market, or on road trips! Due to handmade nature, size, shape, and color may vary. Dimensions: Approx. 18"h x 15"w x 10"d.

Reshaping Your Bolgatanga Basket: Our artisan partners fold this basket in order to ship more efficiently. To remove creases and restore its shape, dampen basket with a spray bottle or other water source, or by submerging in water for 1 minute. Let it rest for 5 minutes to allow grass to absorb the moisture and become pliable. Bend and press the basket into shape - don't worry, it won't break. Allow it to air dry before use and enjoy your beautiful handwoven basket from Ghana!

I just fell in love with all of the beautiful baskets pictured in Serrv's magazine. I finally settled on this one, and I am so pleased with it. The colors are every bit as vibrant as pictured, without being too bright or gaudy. They are natural and blend well together. The handles are so well made, comfortable to hold onto, and sturdy. It is so graceful and beautiful, I would love to fill my house with them. I will use it in a myriad of ways; to haul clothes around, sewing projects, maybe take on a road trip, set on a table or chair and fill it with peacock and pheasant feathers - very versatile and useful, is a basket of this size and shape.

The Fall basket I ordered is absolutely perfect, lovely and able to stand all on its own whether you choose to use it or place it in your home as an art piece. I couldn't be more happy with this basket!
