I ordered the River Birch lantern for my nephew in his new home. He and his partner are a bit design conscious and really liked the lantern! I don't know whether they appreciated the background of this gift from Serrv but I do. I had bought a similar lantern for my daughter-in-law who is quite aware of who has made something and under what work conditions -- and she really appreciated this.

The desk lantern has not arrived and we have a very disappointed 11 year old who wanted to give it to his Mom for Christmas. Sigh.

So glad we bought a pair of these. When lit, they cast a golden-orange light between the trees' dark branches. Lovely to just sit in the dark with a cup of tea and watch the glow.

I bought two of these lanterns as gifts. I like the design a lot and they seem well made, of copper with a brushed black exterior. They do seem a bit pricey considering the candle is not included. I had to get flameless candles myself before giving them. I hope my friends think they are as pretty as I do.

My lanterns are just as pictured in the catalog and just perfect with my battery-operated candles hidden inside. I chose the tree pattern because it's NOT particularly seasonal and I can enjoy them all year round.

I've kept this lantern for myself because the exquisite cutwork echoes my favorite creation- trees, and big, many-branched trees. I love the dark bronzy-golden color too.
