About Uganda

Uganda is located in eastern Africa and bordered by South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya. Known for its lakes and rivers, Uganda's lush landscape provides clean drinking water but also increases the spread of infectious disease. In a small country with one of the highest birth rates in the world, many Ugandans struggle to provide for their families. Using techniques handed down through generations, artisans create baskets, pottery, and musical instruments, among other traditional crafts.
