Every fair trade purchase you make brings security, hope, and dignity to disadvantaged artisans around the world. Here are additional ways you can help us make an even greater impact:
Connect with Us
Be part of our movement to fight poverty by employing and empowering marginalized artisans. Sign up to receive our emails and you'll be the first to hear about new products, special promotions, and artisan stories. (New customers get 15% off their first purchase—and rest assured we won't deluge your busy inbox.) You can also sign up to receive our catalogs, read our blog, or follow us on social media:
Fundraise for your favorite cause Be an ambassador for Serrv while raising money for your favorite nonprofit. Arrange an online sale through our serrv and earn program, and we'll donate 20% of the total purchases to the nonprofit of your choice. Or host a one-time consignment sale at your church, school, or workplace. You'll be surprised how quickly your funds—and impact—add up.
Tell others Increasing our impact is as easy as passing your catalog on to a family member, forwarding emails to friends, or sharing a post on social media. You can connect with our artisans, too! Simply use the "write the artisan" link on any product page and we will make sure they get your message.
Volunteer Located just outside Baltimore, our warehouse is filled to the brim with handcrafted items. Each year, we depend on hundreds of volunteers to help us ship thousands of items to our customers. Just let us know when you'd like to come in. Lunch is on us!
Put your professional skills to work for us Are you an experienced blogger, photographer, or product designer? We'd love to tap into your talent! Simply Tell us about yourself and send samples of your work. We'll follow up with further details and some special perks! We always credit our contributors, and we're happy to link to your blog or website.
Add to your order Next time you place an order, consider adding a gift card (or two!). It's a great way to introduce friends to Serrv and check some folks off your gift buying list. You can also give a gift donation (for that impossible-to-buy-for friend) or add a donation to any order.
Tax-deductible donations directly impact artisans by providing things like training, tools, and scholarships for children.
Invest in our work Serrv International offers a unique opportunity for social investors (individuals, churches, and institutions) to help fund employment for the poor in developing countries.
Like most of the world's poor, artisans and small farmers are often denied access to credit. Your interest-bearing investment in the SERRV International Loan Fund provides our large network of artisans and cooperatives with working capital to develop and sell their products. It allows us to pay them fairly and in advance for their handmade products (months before we can ship and sell these products in the U.S.), ensuring they have funds to buy raw materials and to earn income while they work.
We believe this kind of micro-financing is a powerful tool to fight poverty, and your participation in our Loan Fund directly enables a just, beneficial and sustainable approach to economic development for those with few opportunities.
The Serrv International Loan Fund is currently available for participation in the following states: Alaska, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Washington, Washington DC, Wisconsin For more information and a prospectus on our Loan Fund, please contact us by phone 608.255.0440 or email.
Operated by Serrv International Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Serrv International Loan Fund was established in 2002 to support the organization's charitable mission and fair trade principles.
The above shall not constitute an offer to sell or the solicitation of an offer to buy, nor shall there be any sale of these securities in any state in which such offer, solicitation or sale is not authorized. The offering is made solely be the OFFERING CIRCULAR (prospectus)..
