About Nepal

Located in southern Asia between China and India, Nepal is best known for the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, and its proximity to the Himalayas. Nepal also boasts subtropical summers and breath-taking views of the Ganges River Basin. A country filled with culture, Nepal reported 141 differenet caste and ethnic groups in the 2021 national census. Despite its beauty and ethnic diversity, Nepal is among the poorest and least-developed countries in the world. Nearly 70% of its residents work in agriculture to support themselves and their families.
