Vibrant colors and a boat-shaped design lend this woven basket its distinctly African flair. Artisans in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana weave natural elephant grass using traditional techniques, patterns, and colors. Roomy construction provides easy access to farmers' market produce or everyday storage. Also great for road trips! Size, shape, and color vary due to handmade nature. Dimensions: 19 1/2"h x 13 1/2"w x 9"d

Reshaping Your Bolgatanga Basket: Our artisan partners fold this basket in order to ship more efficiently. To remove creases and restore its shape, dampen basket with a spray bottle or other water source, or by submerging in water for 1 minute. Let it rest for 5 minutes to allow grass to absorb the moisture and become pliable. Bend and press the basket into shape - don't worry, it won't break. Allow it to air dry before use and enjoy your beautiful handwoven basket from Ghana!

Love!

Beautiful, vibrant, well-made basket that I am using as a summer tote bag. Like other reviewers mention, the basket arrives somewhat flat, which perfectly makes it bag-shaped. I rock this gigantic thing and love it so much. Have even received multiple compliments. If you want to re-shape it into a cylindrical basket, the instructions say to wet the basket, shape it as desired, and it will dry that way. Seems easy enough.
