Beautiful jewelry box

I watched for a long time to see if this piece would go on sale, but it never did so I finally relented and bought it, and I'm glad I did. The box is heavy, well-balanced, and the drawers fit just right -- they slide easily and are felt-lined. The box fits more jewelry than I thought it would. The paintwork is really elaborate and wonderful. I have a number of Indian pieces and this one is different from them -- mainly the colors used, which are subtle, earthy and intricate. I love it!

In general I like the look of this Jewelry box and the black velvet lined boxes are nice. The reason I am giving it only a 3 is because the top of the box is not finished all that well with lots of little spots and blemishes in the paint job. The design on top of the box is pretty but the blemishes and spots distract. I bought this for myself so can live with it, but would be less likely to buy it for someone as a gift.

I am really happy with this pretty little chest. The drawers are felt-lined, which was a nice surprise as the product description did not mention that. I was concerned the drawers would be too shallow to hold ring boxes, but small ring, bracelet, and necklace boxes actually do fit. I don't have a lot of jewelry, but now it's all in one place.The chest is big enough to hold necklaces, bracelets, rings and brooches all in their separate drawers. The colors are soft and muted and the carving looks great. A few of the drawers do stick a bit when you go to close them, but you can easily close them with gentle pressure on both sides. Love it.

So Beautiful. Colors are more subdued than in the photograph, which is a plus, because they blend with other colors very well--I would describe them as having a slight sheen and looking more copper, gold and silver than in the photo
