About Afghanistan

Afghanistan is located in southern Asia just north and west of Pakistan and east of Iran. This landlocked country, roughly the size of Texas, is also bordered by China, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Known primarily for its rugged, mountainous landscape and tumultuous history of conflict; Afghanistan is now ready to introduce its rich history of traditional handcrafts to new markets. Serrv partners with artisans working in Afghanistan to preserve traditional craft techniques and promote women's empowerment.
